The Britax first class car seat is suitable for children from birth through to 4 years of age (18kg) and grows with your child. The seat can be fitted into your vehicle in 2 ways, from birth - 13kg the seat is fitted into your car rearward facing, this protects the babies spine in the event of an accident, in this position the seat has an extended recline position and when fitted with the insert creates a more natural sleeping position. From 12 months (13kg)- 4 years (18kg) the seat is fitted into your car forward facing it has a 5 position recline, and the insert offers extra comfort for the younger child. The Concord Ultimax is a 0+ baby car seat and group 1 child seat in one. For babies and small children up to about 18 months old the seat is to be used in the rear facing position. When the child gets older (over 9 kg) the seat is simply turned round to face forward. The seat fits into the vehicle with the 3-point safety belt.
